About me

Hello! I'm Helke, currently living in southern Germany with my family and my dog. For over 20 years, I have been passionate and dedicated in bringing people of all ages and backgrounds closer to the world of languages. My experience as a teacher has shown me how important a motivating and personalized approach is to inspire learners and promote their language skills sustainably. I love to use creative teaching methods that not only convey the material but also make learning fun and boost confidence. I place great importance on a friendly, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and can achieve their goals. Languages, people, and intercultural communication are my main passions and interests. The foundation for this was laid in my childhood, as I have lived in different countries with my family. Respect for people, cultures, and nature has always been my guiding principle. Whether cycling through Ireland after high school, traveling with my backpack in Australia for over a year working with Indigenous children, or teaching at a German school in Canada during my studies, I find it easy and natural to connect with people and apply languages. I enjoy spending a lot of time in nature with my family and dog, taking photographs, practicing sports, and maintaining a healthy diet. I have a university degree in pedagogy and foreign languages and various certificates through further training in both areas. In working as a lecturer at the Goethe Institute and teacher at a secondary school, I achieve effective results in teaching in a motivating and practical way. My methods are tailored to each student`s needs and adapted to his/her personel requirements.
