Hi everyone, I am Dave from the UK and have 10+ years of teaching experience, which has been in-house as well as online, from beginner to advanced level.


I help my students learn English by creating a "friend" environment, which will make you feel calm, relaxed and confident. I will listen to your goals and we can tailor the lessons so you have a focus and therefore can achieve your targets.


I help coach a variety of language aspects such as general conversation, functional language (everyday life scenarios), English for travel (asking for directions/being at the airport etc), small talk (light topics like weather/hobbies/movies/music/food etc), business/meeting performance, storytelling, public speaking, listening skills, reading/pronunciation skills, explaining skills, expressing opinions/debating, Western culture, expanding general vocabulary, interview practice, exam preparation, understanding comedy/telling jokes and much more.


ABOUT ME:


I am a fun, patient, reliable, friendly and positive person and am also a great listener and an "open person".


I have a keen interest in sport such as football, tennis and surfing as well as other activities like going to the beach, and swimming and snorkeling. Moreover, I love going on road trips and hikes and generally exploring the world and also like to watch movies/TV shows, watch live music and enjoy going to festivals.


I have over 10 years of teaching experience to kids and adults of all abilities. I hold a TESOL certificate as well as completing the Preply teaching course. During this time I have worked in schools and academies in England, South Korea and Indonesia as well as online teaching companies.

I use various methods depending on the learner and what we feel is best to use.


I help my learners express themselves clearly and concisely as well as build relationships with their colleagues/clients/strangers. I do this by using small talk, expressing opinions, debating and enhance their general vocabulary by speaking about various topics and therefore enhance their confidence. Also, I can help improve skills like: listening, storytelling, phrases for meetings, British culture, understanding humor and slang/idioms.


I like to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere in my classes and therefore am a very patient person, which will make you feel comfortable when speaking English. I listen to my students, correct them when needed (vocab/pronunciation) and bring in new vocabulary to help you speak to the point.


I am extremely friendly, easy going and patient which will make you feel at ease and I can adapt to everyone's capabilities and personalities.
